Melanie Durham
Melanie Durham has dedicated her career to dance education, serving as a dance teacher for 30 years and a national dance competition judge for 15 years in the USA and Canada. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance and Composition from the University of California, Riverside and she opened her first dance studio at the young age of 21 in Southern California simultaneously. After successfully running her studio for almost 10 years then completely the sale of it to a new owner, Melanie relocated with her family to Layton, Utah in 2016. Performance and production credits include Disneyland and “So You Think You Can Dance”. Melanie continues her focus in dance education while holding certifications in AcroDance Adjudication with Acrobatic Arts, AAC1 Certification with Acrobatic Arts, Safety + Wellness with Youth Protection Advocates in Dance (YPAD), mUvmethod, and Tap Roots, to name a few. Melanie continues to teach, meticulously cleaning choreography, and serves as an Elevate Leader with Julie Kay Stallcup for dance teachers all around the world. Her experience and expertise has grown to become a thriving Dance Studio Consultant across the USA and Canada, including exclusivity with Class Manager Software as a Success Manager & Sotware Contributor for the US. Melanie is on staff at Ballet West Academy, the official school for Ballet West and is the Lead Mentor Instructor at The School of Dance in Salt Lake City. She is a law enforcement wife and a mother of two who loves to travel…and is very loud in her cheers for her children in their activities of lacrosse and dance.
