What does the Encore Dance Experience Scholarship include?

The Encore Dance Experience Scholarship allows awarded dancer to attend convention classes free of charge at one of the Encore Dance Experience Conventions in the fall. Convention is a full day Saturday and full day Sunday followed by wrap party. The competition portion of the weekend will be Saturday night with potential overflow on Friday evening depending upon registration.
*Competition fees & observer bands not included in award and would be at an additional cost

Can my dancer compete if they are attending on Scholarship?

Yes, any dancer that wishes to compete at the Encore Dance Experience can register for competition through their studio and pay applicable registration fees. Dancers with scholarships are eligible for all awards registered dancers are for both convention and competition.

When does my dancer need to be there for the weekend?

If competing, it is recommended that dancers arrive Friday during the day as competition may start on Friday night. If only participating in convention, dancers could arrive Friday afternoon/night for convention starting early Saturday morning.

Do parents need an observer band to attend the Wrap Party?

No, parents do not need an observer band to attend the Wrap Party.

Can parents enter the convention ballrooms with their children?

Everyone entering the convention ballrooms during classes will need a band that will be checked at the door– dancer wristband, teacher wristband or observer wristband. All wristbands can be purchased at the Encore Boutique Front Desk at the event, if not purchased ahead of time. Only exception is for the Wrap Party, mentioned above.
