What is the "Heads & Tails" Rehearsal for the Gala?
(Heads & Tails) – Grand Slam Tech Rehearsal A Tech Rehearsal is required for all participating routines, Friday, June 29th 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm. Heads and Tails is a mandatory rehearsal for all dancers and dances that will be participating in the Championship Gala. This will not be a full run of the routine just enough to give the Video Wall a chance to give your dance a custom look for the Gala performance. One dancer from each group will need to be in full costume. The primary focus is to ensure the safety of the dancers, as well as knowing which sides to enter and exit from. All dancers will need to attend. Please make sure a dance instructor, or studio director is present to oversee any coordinating efforts. Once the dancers have finished their last routine, they may get ready for the festivities. More information will be provided at the rehearsal. **This is a closed rehearsal to all attendees, parents and friends.
What Is the Grand Slam Championship & Awards Gala?
Top Scoring Groups from the week re-compete in the Grand Slam Championship & Awards Gala on Friday, June 27, 2025. Red Carpet Reception and Atmospheric entertainment. Crowning of 2025 Miss and Mr Encore and Performers of the Year awarded. Encore’s Top Scoring Studio and Dance Ambassador will be acknowledged and awarded. General Admission is assigned seating and does not include a plated meal. Concessions and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event. A pizza party will be provided for all dancers participating in the Grand Slam. Additional information on the pizza party can be found below.
Does my Dancer need a ticket?
Dancers do not need a ticket to perform in the Gala. A ticket is required to watch the Grand Slam. Any Dancer/Parent/Teacher that would like to watch the Grand Slam, General Admission or Teacher Seating, will need a ticket.
Will there be an alternate viewing option if the Gala sells out?
Alternate viewing options may be established should the Gala sell out.
Are seats and tables assigned at the Gala?
General admission seats, and Teachers seats are assigned. If seated anywhere other than your assigned seat you will be asked to move. Seating arrangement is subject to change.
Are Grand Slam Gala Tickets refundable?
Grand Slam Gala Tickets are non-refundable.
Do I need to print my gala ticket?
Yes, Please print all gala tickets prior to arriving. Printed tickets will be taken at the door for the Encore Grand Slam Championship Gala and are required for entry.
If I did not purchase tickets to the Gala will I be able to enter the room for my dancers performance?
A ticket is required to enter the Grand Slam Gala ballroom. Dancers do not need a ticket to perform and will enter the room prior to their performance and exit immediately following their performance. Dancers and Teachers/Directors ONLY are allowed backstage.
What is the recommended dress code for the Gala?
It is recommended to “Go Glam for the Slam!” But you will see a variety of dress–anything from “Sunday Best” to Prom Gowns.
Does my dancer need to eat before the Gala begins?
Grand Slam Pizza Party
Pizza will be provided for all dancers recompeting in the Grand Slam Gala. You will be provided with tickets for your dancers to receive their pizza at the Heads & Tails rehearsal.
